Schaumburg, IL, USA – ISACA will host its ISACA Conference Africa 2022 virtual event, 20-21 July. To make the event as widely accessible as possible, ISACA is offering this as a free event to its more than 7,800 members in Africa.  Nonmembers can register for US$300 or become an ISACA member to access the event free of charge. The ISACA Conference, hosted in six regions in 2022—Latin America, North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Europe—features sessions related to digital trust: IT audit, risk, governance, information and cyber security, capability and maturity, privacy, and emerging technologies.

Hosted over two half-days, ISACA Conference Africa 2022 will allow for digital trust professionals to network, earn up to 23.5 continuing professional education (CPE) credits (9.5 for the conference and 14 for the optional pre-conference workshop), and learn from a diverse group of expert speakers.

Sessions will focus on ransomware, privacy by design, risk management and communication, zero trust security, supply chain cyber risks, neurodiversity in the workforce, data protection laws in Africa, regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies, change management, building the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, and more.

Mushambi Mutuma will provide the opening keynote presentation for ISACA Conference Africa, “A New DNA—Leveraging Innovation & Technology for Next-Level Scale.” Mutuma will explore establishing a new foundation for digital trust, practical predictions for market trends, and what African innovations and transformations have helped advance best practices in the region.

Zanele Njapha, known as “the UnLearning Lady,” will provide the closing keynote, “ReImagine: UnLearn & ReLearn.” Njapha will provide a framework to help future-focused team members let go of outdated ways of seeing, doing and being to confidently co-create the future of their industries.

Attendees may also register for the COBIT 2019 Foundation two-day pre-conference workshop, 18-19 July. Taught by ISACA Hall of Fame inductee and ISACA Conference Africa 2022 emcee Tichaona Zororo, CIA, CISA, CISM, CRMA, CDPSE, CRISC, CGEIT, COBIT Certified Assessor, the workshop is US$400 and worth 14 CPEs.
